Last updated: 20 March 2026
This policy describes how Authentic Security New Zealand (“we”, “us”, “Authentic NZ”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use our website at beauthentic.co.nz and related online services, or when you otherwise contact us about our vault, cash logistics, and reconciliation services.
We comply with the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand). For more information about privacy rights in New Zealand, see the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
1. Who we are
Authentic NZ provides secure vault storage, cash processing, and technology-driven reconciliation solutions for banks, businesses, and New Zealand’s cash ecosystem. We are part of the Authentic Security group. Our registered office is in Auckland, New Zealand.
2. What personal information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact and enquiry data: name, employer or organisation, job title, email address, phone number, and the content of messages you send (for example via email or web forms).
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, general location derived from IP, pages viewed, and time spent on our site, collected through server logs and similar technologies.
- Cookies and similar technologies: if we use cookies or analytics tools, we will use them in line with this policy and any cookie notice presented on the site.
We do not aim to collect sensitive information through this website unless you choose to provide it to us and it is necessary for your enquiry.
3. How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and manage our relationship with prospective and existing clients and partners;
- operate, secure, and improve our website and online channels;
- comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect our legitimate interests (including fraud prevention and IT security);
- send operational communications where permitted by law (marketing will only be sent where we have appropriate consent or another lawful basis).
4. Lawful basis
We collect and use personal information where necessary to pursue our legitimate interests (such as running a commercial website and responding to enquiries), to perform a contract, to comply with legal obligations, or where you have consented, as applicable under the Privacy Act 2020 and related guidance.
5. Sharing and overseas disclosure
We may share personal information with:
- Service providers who assist us (for example hosting, IT support, or communications tools), subject to confidentiality and security requirements;
- Professional advisers where needed (for example lawyers or auditors);
- Other members of the Authentic Security group, including in Australia, where that is necessary to respond to your enquiry or to manage our business.
If we disclose personal information overseas, we take steps that are reasonable in the circumstances to ensure that the overseas recipient is required to protect the information in a way that, overall, provides comparable safeguards to those under New Zealand privacy law, as required by the Privacy Act 2020 where applicable.
6. Storage and security
We hold personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the risks involved. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you generally have the right to:
- request access to personal information we hold about you;
